S0, You say you want to know God better. Great! But now you want God to do all the work. Right? What if I told you He already did. He has made a way for us to know Him. Just as an employer would delegate work to his/her employees, God delegated various people over the course of history, to record His interaction with people, who He was, what He wants, and how He loves. This is what is called Inspired writings . God did this so that we could know who He is, what He has done, and His message of salvation could be known throughout the earth to all people. Now it is up to you to start communicating with Him.
God has not left us alone to sort through all of this. He knew we would need help and counseling as we draw close to Him. He has given us part of Himself called the "Holy Spirit". (John 14:16-18) Find out more about the Holy Spirit by clicking here.
The Holy Spirit regenerates and renews the believer (Titus 3:5). At the moment of salvation, the Spirit baptizes the believer into the Body of Christ (Romans 6:3). Believers receive the new birth by the power of the Spirit (John 3:5–8). The Spirit comforts believers with fellowship and joy as they go through a hostile world (1 Thessalonians 1:6; 2 Corinthians 13:14). The Spirit, in His mighty power, fills believers with "all joy and peace" as they trust the Lord, causing believers to "overflow with hope" (Romans 15:13).
Think of it like this: God has created "social media" long before Facebook, Instagram, twitter, or Tic-Tok. You can scroll and scroll and scroll through life, but if you never stop and respond, than you will never connect. Isn't it time you stop and like His Page? You may have shouted out a prayer from time to time, or in anger throw up your fists in disgust, but that is like yelling out the name of someone you never met, have not known, and expected that someone to answer you. Pretty farfetched huh...? So, what to do? There may be people you have chatted with, traded pictures with, or just seen their posts. This does not mean you know them. It is up to you to follow. Even then, you need to follow in earnest, if you want a relationship with them. This is the way with God. The platform has always been there. All we have to do is Like His page and follow, respond, and get to know Him. Let's start right now….
